: I have an A1200 with a video problem. Aparently the display is missing the blue component of the RGB. It is definately the 1200 because the monitor works ok with my other amiga. Playing with the color pallete a pure blue apparently comes out black. I w

I assume that you're using the same cable for both Amigas :),
if your machine was repaired in the latter days of Wang you may have got a
dodgy motherboard, the one that got fitted in my A1200 has been bodged
with a soldering iron and as a result the parallel port won't work. If
there's nothing obviously wrong with the board then you might be better
off trying to pick up a 2nd hand A1200 to replace it. My advice is not to
try replacing SMT if it's anything more complicated than a resistor if you
don't have specialist tools for the job, even then.....
